If it’s possible to love bread, this is one to be enamored with. Having recently taught on soaking and sprouting seeds and knowing that Maria Brennan has done just that with this bread,I know it’s packed full of accessible nutrients and delicious taste. When I came home from the market I was ready to put this loaf to good use and found that I had some cheddar cheese and Savoy cabbage on hand, which sounded like a great grilled cheese to me! Sort of like a Reuben on the sly!

Ingredients; Sourdough Seed Bread from Victorian Bakery, cheddar cheese, ham and savoy cabbage
So, I sliced up some cheese, julienned some cabbage and grilled it, deglazing the pan with some white balsamic vinegar and seasoning with a little kosher salt and black pepper.
Onto some slices of Sourdough seed bread
I layered some Black Forest Ham, then the braised cabbage and on the other side the cheese. I grilled them for a few minutes then pasted them together and watched as the cheese began to melt. Inside of 10 minutes I had me a delicious, nutritious sandwich!
